The Sheriff's Office is home to 69 full and part-time employees, covering a wide range of responsibilities: prisoner transport, civil process service, court security, investigations and emergency communications. On a normal day, Sheriff's Deputies transport inmates from secure facilities around the state to any one of the many courts in New Hampshire and to medical and/or treatment facilities. Deputies are also out in the county serving civil paperwork, arrest warrants and assisting local city and town police departments with law enforcement duties and with public awareness campaigns and community programs. Civilian employees of the Sheriff's Office assist residents and visitors on a daily basis with civil paperwork service, warrant questions, transport information, or one of the 150+ daily calls for service coming in to our emergency dispatch center that serves 15 Merrimack County towns.
The Merrimack County Sheriff's Office has two (2) locations to better serve residents of Merrimack County. Our main mailing office/headquarters is located in Boscawen at 333 Daniel Webster Highway, across from the Merrimack County House of Corrections. Our second location is located in the Lower Level of the Merrimack County Superior Court at 163 North Main Street, Concord.
On behalf of all of the Merrimack County Sheriff's Office, it is with great pleasure that we serve you, our residents, in an effort to uphold our Mission Statement "working together for a safer community".
